What is NG Firewalls?

Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) are advanced firewalls that provide deeper inspection of network traffic than traditional firewalls. They typically include features like application awareness and control, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and advanced malware detection, in addition to standard firewall capabilities like stateful packet inspection and network address translation (NAT). NGFWs are commonly used to protect networks from sophisticated threats by identifying and blocking malicious applications, preventing intrusions, and controlling user access based on application usage.
