What is Netzwerksicherheit?

Netzwerksicherheit, which translates to network security, encompasses the policies, procedures, and technical measures implemented to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, modification, or denial of a computer network and its resources. It is commonly used to protect data, applications, and other assets from cyber threats such as malware, hacking, and denial-of-service attacks. Common network security measures include firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, and access control lists.
