What is Network Policy Server?

Network Policy Server (NPS) is a Microsoft implementation of RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) server and proxy. It enables you to centrally configure and manage network access authentication, authorization, and accounting policies. It's commonly used to enforce network access policies for VPN, wireless, and wired connections, ensuring only authorized users and devices can access network resources. NPS also integrates with Active Directory for user authentication and authorization.
