What is NDS?

NDS (Novell Directory Services), later renamed eDirectory, is a directory service developed by Novell. It manages access to resources on a network, providing a central point of authentication and authorization for users and devices. It is commonly used in enterprise environments to manage user accounts, network devices, and application access, enabling administrators to control who can access what resources on the network.
