What is Monolithic?

A monolithic application is a software application that is designed as a single, indivisible unit. In monolithic architecture, all components of the application (e.g., user interface, business logic, data access) are tightly coupled and deployed as a single, large codebase. While simpler to initially develop and deploy, monolithic architectures can become difficult to manage, scale, and update as the application grows in complexity.
