What is MM (Materials Management)?

Materials Management (MM) is a core module in many Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP. It manages the flow of materials and resources within an organization, from procurement and inventory management to storage and consumption. Common uses include planning material requirements, managing vendors, processing purchase orders, tracking inventory levels, and optimizing warehouse operations.
