MetalLB is a load-balancer implementation for Kubernetes clusters that do not run on a supported cloud provider. It allows you to use standard Kubernetes load balancing features (Services of type LoadBalancer) in bare metal or on-premise environments by providing network load balancing via either ARP, NDP or BGP. Essentially, it makes Kubernetes Service of type LoadBalancer work in environments where external load balancers are not available.
