What is MDA?

Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) is a software design approach promoted by the Object Management Group (OMG). It focuses on using models as primary artifacts in the software development process. MDA promotes the use of platform-independent models (PIMs) that can be transformed into platform-specific models (PSMs) for various target platforms (e.g., different operating systems, middleware). This separation allows for increased portability, interoperability, and maintainability of software systems. It's commonly used to simplify complex system development, enable platform migration, and facilitate code generation.
