JEDI (Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure) was a cloud computing project of the United States Department of Defense (DoD). The goal of JEDI was to modernize the DoD's computing infrastructure by migrating it to a commercial cloud environment. The project was ultimately cancelled after a long and controversial bidding process, with the DoD eventually opting for a multi-cloud strategy instead. The name JEDI, referencing Star Wars, has now also been applied to other projects and concepts.
