What is ISSM?

ISSM (Ice Sheet System Model) is a finite element model designed for simulating the dynamics of ice sheets and glaciers. It's commonly used for projecting future sea level rise, understanding ice sheet stability, and studying the response of ice sheets to climate change. ISSM is developed and maintained by a team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of California, Irvine.
