What is IPSs?

IPS stands for Intrusion Prevention System. It is a network security tool that monitors network traffic for malicious activity and takes automated actions to block or prevent attacks. IPSs analyze traffic patterns, identify anomalies, and compare traffic against known threat signatures to proactively protect networks from threats like malware, exploits, and denial-of-service attacks. They are commonly deployed inline on network segments to actively block or mitigate detected threats in real-time.
