What is IP Transit?

IP Transit is a service that allows a network (usually an Internet Service Provider or large enterprise) to connect to the global Internet. It involves purchasing access to another network's infrastructure to send and receive traffic to and from all other networks on the Internet. This is commonly used by ISPs to provide Internet access to their customers, or by content providers to deliver content globally.
