What is Intune MDM?

Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) provider. It allows organizations to control and secure corporate data on devices, both company-owned and personal ('bring your own device' or BYOD). Intune is commonly used to manage device settings, deploy applications, enforce security policies (like PIN requirements and data encryption), and perform remote actions such as wiping devices in case of loss or theft. It integrates with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity and access management and with other Microsoft 365 services.
