What is Inheritance?

Inheritance is a fundamental concept in object-oriented programming (OOP) where a new class (subclass or derived class) is based on an existing class (superclass or base class). The subclass inherits properties and behaviors (methods) of the superclass, enabling code reuse and establishing relationships between different classes. It promotes a hierarchical classification of objects, making code more organized and easier to maintain. It is commonly used to create specialized versions of general classes, extending or modifying the behavior as needed while retaining the core functionality of the parent class.
