What is InfoPath?

InfoPath was a software application used for designing, distributing, filling and submitting electronic forms containing structured data. It was often used in conjunction with SharePoint to create forms for various business processes such as expense reports, surveys, and data collection. Microsoft discontinued InfoPath in 2016, and support ended in 2026. Power Apps is now the recommended solution for creating custom forms.
