What is IEFBR14?

IEFBR14 is a standard IBM z/OS utility program. It is frequently used as a 'dummy' program in JCL (Job Control Language) to simply return a zero return code (success). It's often used for tasks like creating a dataset without actually writing any data to it, or for testing JCL syntax without performing any real processing. It essentially does nothing but terminate successfully.
