What is IDS/IDP?

An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) are security measures that monitor network or system activities for malicious behavior or policy violations. An IDS detects intrusions and alerts administrators, while an IPS attempts to actively block or prevent detected intrusions. They are used to identify and respond to unauthorized activities, protecting systems and data from threats.
