What is Identity Center?

AWS IAM Identity Center (successor to AWS Single Sign-On) is a cloud-based service that enables you to centrally manage access to multiple AWS accounts and applications. It allows users to log in once and access all their assigned AWS resources, third-party SaaS applications, and custom applications. Identity Center integrates with existing identity providers (like Active Directory, Okta, Azure AD, etc.) or can serve as a cloud directory itself. It simplifies permission management by using permission sets which define the level of access users have to different resources.
