What is ID/PS?

ID/PS refers to "Identity Provider/Service Provider," a fundamental concept in federated identity management and Single Sign-On (SSO) systems. An Identity Provider (IdP) authenticates users (verifies their identity) and provides a digital identity to a Service Provider (SP). The Service Provider, in turn, relies on the IdP to verify the user's identity, granting access to its resources without requiring the user to log in separately to each service. This simplifies user experience and enhances security by centralizing authentication.
