What is IAVAs?

IAVAs, or Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts, are notifications issued by the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) and other organizations to address significant cybersecurity vulnerabilities that pose an immediate and severe threat to Department of Defense (DoD) and other government systems. They require immediate action to mitigate the identified risk. The alert typically includes specific instructions, timelines, and required actions for patching or implementing workarounds to protect systems and data.
