What is I&C?

I&C stands for Instrumentation and Control. It refers to the systems and technologies used to measure, monitor, and control physical processes, particularly in complex industrial facilities like power plants (nuclear and conventional), chemical plants, oil refineries, and manufacturing facilities. These systems typically involve sensors to measure variables (temperature, pressure, flow, level, etc.), controllers to process the data and make decisions, and actuators to implement those decisions by adjusting valves, pumps, motors, and other equipment. I&C systems are critical for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of these facilities.
