What is hydronics?

Hydronics is the use of water or another liquid as the heat-transfer medium in heating and cooling systems. Common applications include hydronic heating systems in buildings, where hot water or a water-glycol mixture circulates through radiators or underfloor heating loops to provide warmth. Hydronic cooling systems similarly use chilled water to remove heat, often in large commercial buildings.
