What is HPNA?

HPNA (HomePNA) is a technology alliance and specification for networking computers and other devices over existing telephone wiring within a home or small office. It allows data to be transmitted over the same wires used for telephones without interfering with telephone service. It's commonly used to create a wired network connection where running new Ethernet cables is impractical or undesirable.
