What is HLA?

High Level Architecture (HLA) is a general purpose architecture for distributed computer simulation. It provides a common framework within which simulations can interoperate, even if they are developed independently and serve different purposes. HLA is commonly used in defense, aerospace, and other industries to create complex, interconnected simulation environments for training, analysis, and experimentation.
