What is HEC?

HEC stands for HTTP Event Collector. It allows you to send data and events to Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud over the HTTP and HTTPS protocols. It's commonly used for sending application logs, metrics, and other machine data to Splunk for indexing and analysis.
