What is Gravure?
Gravure is an intaglio printing technique, where the image to be printed is engraved onto a cylinder. The cells are filled with ink, and then the excess ink is scraped off the cylinder with a doctor blade. The substrate (typically paper or plastic film) is then pressed against the cylinder, and the ink is transferred. Gravure printing is commonly used for high-volume printing of packaging, wallpaper, magazines, and other continuous-pattern products due to its ability to print fine details and consistent color.
