What is GILDA?

GILDA (Grounding In Linked Data Assistant) is a biomedical entity linker. It takes unstructured entity mentions (e.g., gene names, disease names) and maps them to standardized identifiers in knowledge bases, such as the Gene Ontology or the Disease Ontology. It is commonly used for normalizing and disambiguating biomedical entities in text mining, data integration, and knowledge graph construction.
