What is Fourth Shift?

Fourth Shift was an early Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software suite, primarily focused on manufacturing environments. It helped businesses manage various aspects of their operations, including production planning, inventory control, shop floor management, and financial accounting. It's considered one of the pioneers in bringing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and later ERP systems to smaller and mid-sized manufacturers.
