What is Felix?
Felix is the Calico component that runs on each host, programming the Linux kernel's routing table and ACLs to implement Calico's virtual networking. It is responsible for applying network policy and ensuring connectivity between workloads in a Calico-managed Kubernetes cluster. Specifically, Felix programs routes, ACLs (using iptables or BPF), and performs ARP management.
