Frequency-division multiple access (FDMA) is a channel access method used in multiple-access protocols as a channelization protocol. FDMA assigns individual frequencies (or frequency bands) to each user to allow multiple users to transmit concurrently. Each user has exclusive use of their assigned frequency band for the duration of their transmission.
