What is F-Gas?

F-gases, or fluorinated gases, are a group of man-made gases containing fluorine. They are primarily used in refrigerants, aerosols, solvents, and fire retardants. They are potent greenhouse gases, often with a global warming potential many times higher than carbon dioxide (CO2), and their use is being phased down in many countries to mitigate climate change.
