What is EZProxy?
EZproxy is a proxy server software used by libraries to provide access to licensed online resources to users from off-campus. It authenticates users against the library's authentication system (e.g., LDAP, Shibboleth) and then rewrites URLs so that requests appear to come from the library's IP address, thus granting access to subscribed databases, e-journals, and other resources. This allows authorized users to access these resources from anywhere with an internet connection, as if they were on the library's network.
