What is Evoked Potentials?

Evoked potentials (EPs) are electrical signals produced by the nervous system in response to a specific stimulus. They are used to diagnose a variety of neurological conditions by assessing the function of sensory pathways, and can help to identify lesions or abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves. Common types include visual, auditory, and somatosensory evoked potentials.
