What is eTOM?

eTOM (enhanced Telecom Operations Map) is a framework developed by the TM Forum that provides a comprehensive, industry-agreed business process model for telecommunications service providers. It defines the full scope of business processes required to run a service provider, from strategy and infrastructure planning to product development, customer relationship management, and service fulfillment, assurance, and billing. eTOM helps standardize and improve operational efficiency, enabling service providers to align their business processes, integrate systems, and reduce costs. It is commonly used as a blueprint for business process reengineering, systems integration projects, and the development of operational support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS).
