What is ether-channels?

EtherChannel is a port aggregation technology or port trunking technology that allows grouping multiple physical Ethernet links to create one logical link. This provides increased bandwidth and redundancy. It's commonly used to increase the throughput between network devices, such as switches and routers, or between a server and a switch, while also providing link failure protection.
