What is ESS/MSS?

ESS/MSS refers to Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) systems. These are web-based platforms that allow employees and managers to access and manage HR-related information and processes directly, without needing to go through HR personnel. ESS typically allows employees to update personal information, view pay stubs, request time off, enroll in benefits, and access company policies. MSS allows managers to approve time off requests, manage employee performance, access team information, and initiate HR actions. These systems improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and empower employees and managers.
