EPA SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) is a dynamic rainfall-runoff simulation model used for single-event or long-term (continuous) simulation of the surface runoff quantity and quality from primarily urban areas. SWMM tracks the quantity and quality of runoff generated within each subcatchment, and models the flow rate, flow depth, and water quality in each pipe and channel during a simulation period. It's widely used for planning, design, and management of stormwater control infrastructure.
