What is Elastic Cache?

Amazon ElastiCache is a fully managed, in-memory data store and caching service by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It supports two open-source in-memory engines: Redis and Memcached. ElastiCache improves the performance of web applications by retrieving information from fast, managed, in-memory caches, instead of relying entirely on slower disk-based databases. It is commonly used to cache frequently accessed data, session state, and compute-intensive query results, which reduces database load, improves application responsiveness, and enhances the overall user experience.
