What is EHF?

Extremely High Frequency (EHF) is the ITU designation for the range of radio spectrum from 30 to 300 gigahertz. Radio waves in this band have very short wavelengths, from one to ten millimeters, so it is also known as the millimeter wave band. EHF is used for high-bandwidth communication, radar, and remote sensing. Its applications include satellite communications, point-to-point radio links, and millimeter-wave scanners at airports.

What other technologies are related to EHF?

EHF Competitor Technologies

Super High Frequency (SHF) covers a portion of the microwave spectrum, and while lower in frequency than EHF, it serves as a competing technology for many of the same applications, such as satellite communications and radar.
