What is EGNOS?

EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) is a European satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) that improves the accuracy and reliability of GPS signals. It works by using a network of ground stations to monitor GPS signals and then broadcasting corrections to user receivers via geostationary satellites.
