What is DPAS?
DPAS stands for the Defense Priorities and Allocations System. It is a regulation that implements the authorities of the Defense Production Act (DPA). DPAS ensures the timely availability of industrial resources to meet current national defense and emergency preparedness program requirements. It does this by providing a system to prioritize contracts and orders related to national defense. This means that suppliers are required to give preference to fulfilling contracts with a DPAS priority rating over other, lower-priority contracts.
