What is Dlib?

Dlib is a general-purpose cross-platform C++ library. It is widely used in both industry and academia, in a wide range of domains including robotics, embedded devices, mobile phones, and large high-performance computing environments. It provides functionalities for machine learning algorithms, including tools for training and using deep neural networks, and also contains a variety of numerical optimization algorithms, image processing tools, and data analysis algorithms. A common usage is face detection and landmark estimation, as well as general object detection.
