What is distribution panels?

Distribution panels (also known as panelboards or breaker panels) are electrical components that divide an electrical power feed into subsidiary circuits, while providing a protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit, in a common enclosure. They are commonly used to distribute electricity throughout a building, protecting the wiring and equipment from overloads and short circuits.
