DH+, or Data Highway Plus, is a proprietary industrial network protocol developed by Allen-Bradley (now Rockwell Automation). It was commonly used in the 1980s and 1990s for communication between programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation devices. DH+ used a multi-drop network topology and a token-passing protocol. While largely replaced by Ethernet-based protocols in new installations, it remains present in many legacy industrial systems.
