What is DDNS?

Dynamic DNS (DDNS) is a method of automatically updating a name server in the Domain Name System (DNS), often in real time, with the active DDNS configuration of its configured hostnames, addresses or other information. It's often used to allow access to a service (e.g., a web server, FTP server, or security camera) running on a device with a dynamically changing IP address, such as a home internet connection.
