What is Cyber Incident Response?

Cyber Incident Response (CIR) is the process of identifying, analyzing, containing, eradicating, and recovering from cybersecurity incidents. It involves a coordinated set of actions to minimize damage, restore systems and services, and prevent future occurrences. CIR is commonly used to respond to data breaches, malware infections, ransomware attacks, denial-of-service attacks, and other cybersecurity threats.
