**CRRT**

What is CRRT?

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is a type of dialysis used primarily in intensive care units for patients with acute kidney injury. It continuously filters the blood over a prolonged period (typically 24 hours or more) to remove waste products and excess fluid, while also helping to correct electrolyte imbalances. Unlike intermittent hemodialysis, CRRT is gentler and better tolerated by hemodynamically unstable patients because the fluid and solute removal is slower and more controlled.
