What is Corosync?

Corosync is a Group Communication System. It provides a set of APIs that applications can use for group membership, messaging, and quorum. It is commonly used as a backend for high-availability clustering solutions, providing the communication and membership infrastructure needed for nodes to coordinate and maintain a consistent view of the cluster state.
