What is Concurrent Programs?

Concurrent programs involve multiple tasks (processes, threads, or coroutines) executing seemingly at the same time. These tasks can interact with each other, sharing resources and communicating to achieve a common goal. Concurrency is used to improve responsiveness and throughput in applications, allowing them to handle multiple requests or computations simultaneously. This is achieved either through interleaving the execution of these tasks on a single processor or distributing them across multiple processors in parallel. Common uses include web servers handling multiple client requests, operating systems managing various processes, and applications performing background tasks without blocking the main thread.
