What is Common Criteria?
Common Criteria (CC) is an international standard (ISO/IEC 15408) for computer security certification. It provides a framework in which computer system users can specify their security requirements (Security Target - ST), and vendors can then implement and/or make claims about the security attributes of their products (Target of Evaluation - TOE). It's commonly used by governments and organizations to evaluate and certify IT products for use in secure environments, ensuring they meet specified security standards.
